Ephesians 4:1-3
I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.
What “call” have you received? Everyone has a calling. God made you to be a unique channel of God to the world…to cooperate in God’s unfolding creation and to help build the kingdom of God. If you don’t know your calling…you need to spend more time communing with God in silent, self-emptying prayer…and then to follow the yearnings God places in your heart. It won’t be easy. It will mean making changes. St. Paul encouraged Christians from prison. But this former anger-filled persecutor of Christians had been transformed by the unconditional Love of God into the person he was called to be. Open yourself to that same transforming Love!
