Headed to Wholeness

Luke 13:32
“Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.”

Jesus shows us that God wants to heal us and see us made whole. We are being led to a glorious completion. It is a process in which we encounter struggles, pain and infirmities. We are invited to let go of control so that in our strugglesin our weaknesses…God can lift us and transform us. Jesus showed us that ultimately death does not win…but in fact leads us to ultimate Life…eternal. So what appears to be horrible can actually be the very thing that leads to our transformation and joy…if we have faith and cling to Christ. For as St. Paul says in today’s first reading (Romans 8:38), “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This is Good News!
