Romans 10:14
But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?

Listening to the words of Jesus in scripture and hearing Him speak to my heart while sitting in contemplation has totally changed my life. Perhaps it has done the same for you…and I’m sure it has if you’ve tried it. It is a guarantee. You may have experienced a major change in your life through a relationship with Christ but have encountered new struggles that have made you skeptical. Life will deal us difficulties…but why not cling to Christ in those struggles? This is precisely when God wants to be intimately close to you and be the light that leads you to new life and perhaps even to a place where one day you might be very thankful to God for allowing the struggle to happen in the first place. For God is not causing your difficulties…but wants to lead you through them. Then by your very life…you will be that same Light to others. As St. Francis was reported to have said: “Preach the Gospel always…and when necessary…use words.”
