Acts 17:26-28
He made from one the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions, so that people might seek God, even perhaps grope for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from any one of us. For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’
How amazing is God! To try to capture the concept of “God” is beyond words…but St. Paul makes a valiant effort in preaching to the Athenians. God is not ‘out there’ somewhere…but is interwoven in the deepest fibers of our being. It is in our Loving Creator that “we live and move and have our being.” St. Paul is actually quoting a poet from the third century before Christ. Sometimes poetry, music and art are the only ways to catch glimpses of what is beyond the realm of logic. Loving God, may I find you in all I see. Breath of God…breathe on me.
