Matter of the Heart

Matthew 6-21
“For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.”

What is your “treasure“? Is it found in material things or is it found in spiritual things? There is nothing wrong with material things in themselves…but only in our attachment to them. Jesus said it was hard for a rich person to get into the kingdom of God…because when you have lots of material things…it is very difficult to not be attached to them. The kingdom of God is a state of being when you are in the flow of love, mercy, forgiveness and compassion. It is the flow of Grace…the inner life of the Trinity. It’s available now to those who choose to be a part of it. Material treasures decay. Treasures of heaven…or the “kingdom of God”…do not. To which are you giving your heart?
