In the Now

Luke 9:61-62
Another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say farewell to my family at home.” Jesus answered him, “No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Jesus was referring to a farmer pushing his plow. If the farmer turned to look back at what was left behind…he would not be focused on where he was pushing the plow and would get off line. It’s a great lesson in seeing that the kingdom of God is where God is present…and the only place you’ll find the living God…is in the present…the NOW. If we’re not paying attention to following Jesus in each moment of our lives…we’ll miss God’s Presence and the peace and joy that He wants to give us.
