Encourage yourselves daily while it is still “today,” so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin.

“Sin” is basically when we “turn away” from God’s desires…and choose our self-centered…ego-satisfying desires. Sooner or later we need more to be satisfied…and it’s never enough. Today…this moment…is a brand new opportunity to turn back to God and away from the self-gratifying ways that leave us empty. It’s more a “letting go” than “doing” anything. It’s accepting the moment for what it is and allowing for God to move in your life…and then taking action. Each time we revert to our old ways…the next moment is the opportunity to change directions. The beautiful thing is that God holds no grudges and is always ready to forgive you and to love you. That’s what unconditional love is. Now is the time. Accept it!
