God’s Light is within you.

Matthew 5:16

“Your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”

The bible says that all people are “made in God’s image” (Genesis 1:27).

If God is light (1 John 1:5) and God is also love (1 John 4:8)…then each of us is made to shine the Light of Love to the world.

How can we best do this?

The key is in the way we use our gifts, time and talents to make the world a more loving, merciful, forgiving, compassionate and just place.

This requires letting go of our egocentric desires…for the sake of Love. To our egos…this will feel like dying. In this process we discover our true selves.

Jesus is a perfect guide to follow in this spiritual quest.

Each of us will shine the Light in unique ways.

Bask for a moment in the light of God’s free, unmerited love and acceptance.

How will you reflect this Light to the world today?
