Luke 7:34

“The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you said, ‘Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’”

We all at some point have judged someone only to find out later that we were wrong.

We didn’t know the whole story.

I’m sure at some point we all have been falsely judged as well. 

Jesus knows what this is like.

Just because he was partying with outcasts and those of questionable moral behavior…doesn’t make him a “glutton and a drunkard.”

I’m sure Jesus didn’t approve of all their behavior…but that didn’t keep him from being in relationship with them.

Jesus joined those had been kicked-out by the religious leaders.

That’s because they were still God’s children, all worthy of God’s love.

Jesus accepted everyone at his table.

How else would they experience God’s unconditional love?

The questions for each of us are:

Who am I kicking-out or excluding?

And how can I change…in order to accept that person at my table with the same unconditional love of God?
