In any close relationship we have intimate, two-way conversations.

Do you have such a relationship with God?

Or is it a one-way line of communication with you doing all the talking…and no listening?

I believe that our Creator yearns to speak to us in our hearts and is always speaking.

God’s words come to us in many ways: through silent meditation, reflective scripture reading, nature, people, music, art, books, etc., etc., etc.

But the question is: Are we listening?

Try taking some quiet time to simply sit in the presence of God.

God is present…but many times we are not!

Our minds are constantly chattering.

Stop and observe your mind’s endless commentary and judgments.

Allow it to cease.

Practice being still.

Be present to the Divine Presence in times of silence and times of activity…and then listen to your heart.
