1 Thessalonians 5:5-6
For all of you are children of the light and children of the day. We are not of the night or of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us stay alert and sober.

If you know Christ…then the Light of Christ shines in you. But does it? Only if you are aware…awake…present to this great gift. Many are completely distracted by worldly attractions or simply have never experienced the Light of Christ through another person. They are in a spiritual darkness. St. Paul encourages followers of Christ to stay alert…in other words…stay present! Cultivate the flame of Christ’s love. Allow Christ’s Light to radiate through you so that someone in the darkness might experience the Saving Light.
