No Division

John 13:16-17
“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.”

In Christ all are equal. There is no distinction based on power and prestige. This is directly opposite of the world’s philosophy that attaining power and prestige is what it’s all about. Do you see any hint of Jesus aspiring for power or prestige? What if we only aspired to help those who were in need? Jesus said that if we did this…we would be “blessed”…which also means “happy!” Which philosophy will you follow?

You can’t see it, but I’m doing the celebratory “YES” dance! All are one…there is no division….and the exact source of tension for those on the contemplative path….trying to find our place in a world that seems to be founded on separation…what I call “original sin.” When we know we are called to live in humble unity while the rest of the world fights for position and power and wants us to join them in that struggle. In this tension, I return to prayer, to scripture, to Jesus; first for comfort, and then for peace. Thank you Bill for being a vessel through which Jesus’ message of Oneness continues to be upheld in our world.
