Blessed Brokenness

Luke 24:30-31
And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight.

The resurrected Christ appeared to two of His followers on the road to Emmaus…and they didn’t even recognize Him! Not until He broke the bread at table did they realize that this was indeed their Messiah. Jesus became the bread broken for others. In the same way, He calls us to receive His body in the bread. Allow that bread to become one with you…so that you will now become the bread broken for others. God loves you in your brokenness and wants to embrace you and bring you healing and wholeness. Allow God to transform you through unconditional love and acceptance. How will you then give of yourself to become an experience of Christ for others?
