Mark 4:18-19
“Those (seeds) sown among thorns are another sort. They are the people who hear the word, but worldly anxiety, the lure of riches, and the craving for other things intrude and choke the word, and it bears no fruit.”
God’s word will always communicate unconditional love, mercy, forgiveness and compassion.
It comes to us in many ways: in scripture, in silence, in music, in nature, through other people, etc. There are many “seeds” being sown…but what is the condition of our “soil”?
Are we cultivating our soil so that the seeds of Love take root?
What other words, music, entertainment, social media or people might be poisoning our soil and choking God’s seeds?
Stop for a moment.
Be aware.
Listen.
God is speaking words of love all around you…and in your heart.

Hi Michelle…thanks for your kind comment. I just looked at your blog and find it fascinating! I see that you have a program coming up in Old Town, Albuquerque…and so I can’t help but wonder if you know Richard Rohr? I have been to Old Town a couple of times for his conferences there. ~ peace
