We come from Love…and will return to Love.

Ezekiel 34:15

I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest, says the Lord God.

God is not a tyrant waiting to punish us.

So many people have such toxic images of our Creator. However, the prophet Ezekiel had a completely opposite image. He was inspired to write the words of comfort above…six-hundred years before the birth of Jesus.

As a prophet speaking on behalf of God…he wrote of a Loving Creator who will go to any length to protect and look after us.

Jesus said if you knew him…then you would also know God (John 14:7). He also said, “I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

We (all of humanity) are the sheep.

Jesus showed us that he would die to demonstrate God’s tender love. In return for unjust persecution and then being nailed to a cross…he responded with love and truth.

His resurrection showed us that death and hate have no hold on usno matter what we have done.

The love God has for each of us is unconditional and eternal.

Rest in that.
