Paschal Mystery

Every struggle leads to new life when we trust in Love.

2 Corinthians 4:8-10

We are afflicted in every way, but not constrained; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body.

Jesus gave us the blueprint on how to live our lives.

He showed us that we would have crosses to bear in this life…difficulties that would come our way.

When you follow Jesus and treat all people as equal…love all people regardless of their actions and use your life to make the world a more compassionate and just place…you will be met with resistance by those who don’t believe as you do.

The world that clings to power, prestige and possessions will meet you with opposition.

That world is attached to the idea that these things will bring security and control. But they are all illusions that will eventually disintegrate…certainly when physical death occurs.

Usually it takes some form of suffering before your ego and the false self it has created will be forced to let go of the illusion of control. Then we are able to allow God to lead us.

Then even when met with resistance…we can react in love while still standing for justice.

We will be walking with Jesus. We will be living signs of Christ.

We will be his hands and feet. And if metaphorically our hands and feet are also nailed to a cross…we know with confidence that we also will experience resurrection and new life…not only at death but in each struggle along the way.

For nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:39).
