Romans 1:20-21,25
Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse; for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshipped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever.
Paul spoke these words nearly 2000 years ago…and humans are still doing the same thing! God’s glory is all around but many times we aren’t aware. Last night after a youth meeting we were talking in the parking lot when one of the teens pointed to the sky overhead and said, “A God-spot”!” We looked up and saw one of the most incredible night skies I have ever seen. The moon was glowing amidst an expansive pattern of small round patches of clouds…as if the clouds had been set there by a massive cookie-cutter. It was quite spectacular…but we all might have missed this wonder of God’s on-going creation if not for one observant young lady. While glory is all around us…our culture reveres and worships celebrities, athletes and youthfulness that will all fade away. How much time and energy do we put in giving thanks and praise to God each day?

Bill,
After reading what you wrote: “God’s Glory Is All Around Us”….this quote has truly put a lot of things INTO perspective for me. I always thought that my life would never be anything of importance, because of the suffering/s that I suffered in 1988(at the age of 14 years old), when I was misdiagnosed with a virus, and it was really Juvenile diabetes. But for the past week and a half(at the age of 37 yrs. old), I have been putting my FAITH FIRST before seeing the needs of my life. I went on a retreat with Father Tom Ryan last weekend, and Father Tom really tried to help me through out my weekend, because I was lost. My needs were always at my hands, and not at my feet. My eyes were swollen from taking what I could get, rather than asking for what I need. And I really didn’t see the PASSION and PURPOSE in my life. I have started a new journal that I do daily, and I have found myself finding the most intimate time in my day to go talk with our Lord. Whether it be a quiet meditation, or perhaps a song that I am singing…. GOD LISTENS TO EACH ONE OF US EVERYDAY OF OUR LIVES. And I have found out, that THROUGH MY PASSION and MY PURPOSE…I am LIVING MY LIFE with our LORD. God’s Glory Is All Around Us….if we allow our lives to live through our LORD. Amen ? Amen…
