Christ Culture

Luke 13:30
“For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”

Jesus says that the people our culture looks down upon…those viewed as being “last”…might actually be looked upon as “first” in the viewpoint of God’s Kingdom. And the reverse is also true. What matters in God’s eyes is our motivation in all that we do. What is in our hearts? Am I catering to my ego…or to the Greater Good? If we are motivated by love, mercy, forgiveness and compassion…then the Kingdom of God is at hand! In the Reign of God…there is no “first” and “last”…no separationno one excluded. All are one. We are each called to live our lives in such a way that God’s kingdom does come “on earth as is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).

Amen. As Jesus said, those who want to be first will be last, and those will want to be last, will be first. It’s all about serving God in a humble attitude and giving Him all the glory, honor, and praise.

Bill, every once in awhile I get the urge to tell you how solid your reflections are. This is one of those times. –Dennis
