Mark 4:21-22

Jesus said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket or under a bed, and not to be placed on a lampstand? For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light.”

We are all meant to be a light in this world.

THE light is God as many Near Death Experiencers have attested to.

Many who were clinically dead but later resuscitated have claimed they were in a heavenly realm where they basked in a Light of total love and acceptance, such that they had never experienced even a fraction of before.

Scripture tells us that Jesus is also light: “What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:4-5).

Jesus himself is quoted as saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).

If you are a Christian, you are a follower of Jesus and therefore meant to be a reflection of his light with your life.

But many feel lacking in this regard due to shame.

We all have shadows and wounds from what we’ve done and what has been done to us.

But God’s light shines on us regardless.

That’s what Unconditional Love does!

It’s through this healing Light that our wounds become beacons of light for others.

The very places of shame are transformed and used for good.

This is the Good News!
